If you have grown frustrated or discouraged because you feel no one honors what you carry, here are FOUR things you may want to consider:

1. Positioning: You may be preaching to the wrong crowd. You may be positioned in the wrong place. You may be aligned with people who are not assigned to you.

Matthew 13:58 shows us that even Jesus was not received in certain places and “He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief”. He didn’t get frustrated—He simply moved on.

He also instructed His disciples to leave any place that would not receive them (Matthew 10:14).

1. Processing: Not every assignment is about elevation. Some are for deeper formation. God may be testing your faithfulness and obedience.

Are you willing to do it when only a few are showing up? When Heaven is applauding but the earth seems silent? Can He trust you to represent Him without needing recognition? Without touching His glory?

“Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much…” (Luke 16:10)

1. Timing: You may simply be out of season. Sometimes, what you carry in the spirit has not reached its set time to be revealed in the natural. You may be frustrated because you’re trying to reap a harvest before the ground has been prepared to receive you.

“There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every matter under heaven—” Ecclesiastes 3:1 LSB

1. Pride: This one may be hard to hear, but maybe you think more highly of yourself than you ought to. Do you assume you carry more than you actually do right now? Do you assume you are further along than you actually are? Is your desire to be received tied to a certain type of people or a certain number of people before you feel validated or important?

“Let another praise you, and not your own mouth…” (Proverbs 27:2)

…If perceived dishonor has turned into frustration in your heart, it’s worth examining the “why.”
